    Registration for Latina Conference Now Open

    Register now for the 37th Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas State Conference on September 26-29 at the Estancia del Norte Hotel in San Antonio. The empowering weekend includes Latina leaders and experts addressing personal and professional development.

    The conference, “A Legacy of Leadership & Learning,” includes breakout workshops addressing:

    • Leadership Development and Board Involvement
    • Mentorship: Finding One and Being One
    • Self-Advocacy at Work
    • Mental Health and Heart Health
    • The Importance of Art and Culture
    • Estate Planning and Your Finances

    Joining the Conference are Barbara Canales, former County Judge from Corpus Christi; Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia, San Antonio Councilwoman; and Regina Montoya, Dallas attorney and Executive Director of Tricolor.

    The conference includes a panel discussion from three of the 1986 visionaries who saw the need for a statewide network for Latinas.  The panel includes Martha Hinojosa Nadler, Amalia Rodriguez Mendoza, and Jim Estrada.

    HWNT is a non-profit statewide organization advancing women in public, corporate, and civic life through education and personal and professional development. HWNT members unite to celebrate the positive image and values of our Hispanic heritage and empower women across the great State of Texas.

    The Latina Empowerment Scholarship is a partnership with Tito’s Handmade Vodka since 2023 and exemplifies HWNT’s commitment to professional and leadership development.  The scholarships allow HWNT members to participate in national, state, or community leadership programs or acquire certifications or licenses that advance their career skills.

    The Latina Empowerment Scholarship provides one-third of the cost of the leadership or certification program. The HWNT member must cover the remaining cost of the certification or program.  HWNT appreciates the commitment and support from Tito’s Handmade Vodka.  These efforts advance the involvement of HWNT members in public, corporate, and civic engagement.  Here are our current scholarship recipients.
