Happy New Year to all HWNT members and friends! 2012 is off to a wonderful start. I hope everyone had a great holiday season with family and friends. We had an amazing time everyone at the Champagne Soiree and Rising Star Awards, held January 22, 2012. We are very proud of our five recipients. Thank you to Rosa Navejar, Amanda Arizola, Anette Soto, Bob Bonilla, and Dr. Jaime Gonzalez. You all are shining examples of the generous and active members HWNT is made of and we are honored to have you in our midst. HWNT appreciates all you do for the community and we are gladly taking this time to honor you.
I also hope everyone is gearing up for great things in HWNT. A new year means it is time to renew your membership or join the Fabulous Fort Worth Chapter. You may download a membership application from www.hwnt.com, go to the Fort Worth Chapter or contact Cindy Olivera,Vice Chair of Membership, at fw-membership@hwnt.org.
In 2011 HWNT just celebrated our 25th Anniversary as a state organization. You will notice we are embracing a new logo and are working on a rebranding campaign that will standardize our marketing materials state-wide.
Our education series, Latinas in Progress (LIP) will end with our March Scholarship banquet and we are currently taking applications for our next LIP class. Please contact Anna Alvarado, Education Chair, fw-education@hwnt.org or Anette Soto, Co Education Chair at fw-coeducation@hwnt.org for more information.
