HWNT Denton News |
|
|
The Denton chapter of HWNT was
founded on October 26, 2008 after meeting all of its requirements for
membership. It was officially voted in as the ninth chapter of HWNT
during the State's quarterly meeting in McAllen. The new Denton chapter
is comprised of students from the University of North Texas, Texas
Women's University and professionals from the Denton community, creating
Region 15, a new region of the organization.
The founders of the Denton chapter are: Mari Vega, Yudilia Rocha, Mayra
Peralta, Elizabeth Velasquez, Aimee Saldivar, Elena Fannon, Lakshmi
Gomez, Aracely Garcia, Tomasa Garcia, Maria Muņiz with two
existing HWNT members from the Dallas chapter Elena Fannon and Olga Cortez. |
