Chapter to Honor Ralph Magana as Father of the Year 2009
The Hispanic Women's Network of Texas RGV
Chapter has announced that they will be honoring William Ralph Magaña, a local father and editor/owner
of Contempo Magazine. Mr. Magaña will be honored at the next HWNT meeting at 12:00 noon on Wednesday,
June 10 at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce 1200 Ash, McAllen, Texas
HWNT will also be honoring those
fathers, friends and special guests that our members will be bringing
to this very special Fathers Day Luncheon. This is a wonderful
opportunity to show that very special
person that has had an impact in your life how much you love and care
for them.
Mr. Magaña,
better know as simply “Ralph” was born in Toledo, Ohio and raised in
McAllen,
Texas. In his twenties, Ralph worked in the advertising and publication
industry selling Yellow Pages and publishing a local Winter Texan
magazine. In the late
1980’s while working for Johnson & Johnson
as a national sales trainer and pharmaceutical rep,
Ralph was
recognized as a leader in the pharmaceutical
sales industry and was awarded J & J
Top Achiever #1 Rep in the Country. ;In the mid 90’s, Ralph started his
construction
company and began building & developing homes and commercial
developments including medical facilities, assisted living facilities,
shopping
malls, and custom homes.
Today,
Magaña Construction Co. has built over 40 custom homes ranging from
3,000 to 14,000 sq. ft. and 200,000 sq. ft. of commercial developments.
Ralph is the Vice President of Ridge View Investors a local development
company, and the editor /owner of Contempo Magazine,
an intellectual and cultural monthly publication with its on-line
version at www.contempomag.com.
Ralph is the loving son of Dr. and
Mrs. Ignacio Magaña and currently resides in Mission,
Texas with his wife Laura and daughter Melissa Grace who
are Financial Advisors with Wells
Fargo Advisors.

The Hispanic Women's Network is a state wide
nonprofit
organization made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds who are
committed to promoting the participation of women in public, corporate
and civic life. It seeks to advance the educational, cultural, social,
legal and economic well being of women through a broader awareness of
their role in society, business and the family. It welcomes into its
membership anyone who is supportive of its purposes and who cooperates
in carrying out its programs of education and activities.
The Hispanic Women's Network (RGV Chapter), is a
nonprofit 501C/3
organization that promotes its members and invites anyone who is
interested in networking to attend the monthly luncheons that are held
every second Wednesday of each month at the McAllen Chamber of
Commerce.
The Hispanic Women's Network of Texas, Rio
Grande Valley Chapter
will hold their monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at the
McAllen Chamber of Commerce (1200 Ash Street) at 12:00 (NOON).

HWNT membership consist of professional
business women, of these
65 to 70 % are business owners with a common goal and that
is mentor
and to educate the entire membership.
The Hispanic
Women's Network invites anyone who is interested in
growing their business and networking to attend the luncheon meeting.

the participation of women in public, corporate and civic life.

HWNT of Rio
Grande Chapter meets at noon every second Wednesday of the month at The
McAllen Chamber of Commerce.
