Lucila Lagace
The Hispanic Women's Network presents Lucila Lagace
The Hispanic Women's Network will
have as their presenter Lucila
Lagace, a leadership and communication coach to present a Business
Etiquette, Manners and Protocol Seminar at their monthly
regular meeting. The meeting will be held Wednesday, March 12,
2008, at 12:00 (NOON) at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce at 1200 Ash
Street.
Lucila Lagace is a leadership and communication coach dedicated to
helping individuals, organizations and businesses increase their personal and
professional success. Prior to establishing her own coaching business in 2005,
Lucila spent 18 years as a director of local, state, national and international
non-profit and governmental projects and organizations. Lucila specializes in
coaching children and adults to successfully interact with others at home, at
work and at play. Lagace also focuses on small business public relations,
copywriting and event production. After a successful career in management,
Lucila now teaches others how little things can make a big difference in
creating a civil, kind, and just world. Lucila is no stranger to etiquette,
manners and protocol. She was raised by a traditional Mexican mother and
grandmother who emphasized proper behavior at all times. The home training came
in handy as she made her way up the professional career ladder and across the United States and Central
America. To enhance her
skills, Lucila trained with the Disney Institute, Interaction Associates, the Protocol
School of Washington, John Ben Shepperd
Leadership Institute, MOSAICA, and
the National Service Executive Leadership Institute.
Lucila maintains residences in McAllen, Texas and Washington, DC. Her clients
include individuals, organizations and businesses in the United States, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Uganda. As a graduate
of the University of Texas
at Austin with a B.A. in Spanish Literature and Sociology,
Lucila is a proud Longhorn. Along with her etiquette hat, Lucila also wears
numerous extra hats as the founder and past-President of the American
Association of Grant Professionals – Rio Grande Valley Chapter, founder and
instructor of the SOUL Skills International Leadership Program and an advisory
board member of Youth Service America and the Global Youth Partnership for
Africa, both headquartered in Washington, DC.
