Anna Marie Guzman Protz

Anna Marie grew up in Houston, Texas and developed her passion for Hispanic Health Awareness when she lost her 50-year-old mother to complications from diabetes.  

Anna Marie has been serving Texas Employers, Employees and their families benefit needs since 1988 when she started her career with a local insurance company known as National Pacific Dental a branch of the United HealthCare, Inc. family of carriers.   In 1992 she moved to Standard Insurance Company of America a national carrier whose services and sales strategies targeted Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas.  In 1997 her success took her to The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America where she was the first Latina promoted to Sales Rep in their 20+-year history in the Texas Market.

Anna Marie launched her own company, AMP Benefits with the philosophy that clients are partners and that servicing their needs and goals comes hand in hand with helping manage the risk associated with health care coverage.  Be it through insurance, education or true service the rewards are long-term partnerships and healthy families.  

Building strong partnerships with mutual respect and setting goals with clear objectives is her day-to-day work ethic.  As a business owner her will to help other women succeed in their chosen business efforts has been at the forefront in all her endeavors.

Anna Marie is active in the community by partnering and participating in the following professional organizations.    National Association of Health Underwriters, Texas Association of Health Underwriters,  Houston Association of Health Underwriters , Women's Financial Exchange, Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (Chair Latina Roundtable 2009), Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas – (Chair Houston Chapter 2009 - 2010).
