Cristina Castro

Cristina Castro graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in May of 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a Business Foundations Distinguished Certificate from the McCombs School of Business. After touring Europe for a month and interning with a minor league baseball team, Cristina joined Infinity Systems, Inc. as their Service Administrator. Her job has expanded from accounts receivable to include digital photography, web design, marketing and branding.

Prior to working at Infinity Systems, Cristina was the Director of Sales and Sponsorships for the Bay Area Toros Baseball Club. She coordinated events for entertainment and publicity and served as the liaison between the public and team members at the games.

For two years during and after college, Cristina enhanced her skills while working for Renee Trudeau & Associates. Renee Trudeau & Associates is a nationally-recognized coaching, consulting, publishing and training firm based in Austin, TX. As the Marketing/Public Relations Assistant, Cristina was responsible for coordinating marketing events, overseeing book sales, compiling media kits, establishing and maintaining media relations, generating advertising and securing book reviews from national publishing trade journals.

Cristina has direct experience in special event coordination, media relations, media and marketing research, team management, client and account services, idea generation for communications campaigns, web marketing and office administration.

Her determination to go above and beyond can be seen in the numerous organizations she has joined over the years. In college, she belonged to Habitat for Humanity, Texas Diamonds [a service and leadership organization committed to improving the Austin community], Hispanic Business Student Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Association of Women in Communication. While serving as an officer for Texas Diamonds, Cristina helped coordinate volunteer projects for the members of the organization, as well as maintained the website and internal communications of the group.

When Cristina is not working, she spends her time assisting the Education and Health & Wellness Committees for HWNT, volunteering her time with the Houston American Youth Football & Cheer League and PRSA, raising money for cancer research, reading, and planning her wedding!
