The striking pose of a Hispanic women epitomizes the drive, ambition and presence of HWNT. The poster, "Hispana" painted by San Antonian Thomas Vasquez, was the winning entry of the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center poster competition held in San Antonio. The competition, sponsored by a grant from Aheuser-Busch Companies, was held specifically to select the official poster for the first meeting of HWNT in Dallas in November 1987.
