MISSION

The Hispanic Women's Network of Texas (HWNT) promotes the advancement of women in public, corporate, and civic life.

HISTORY

HWNT was founded in 1986 when members of existing women's and Hispanic groups from around the state came together to create an organization that would address issues unique to Latinas. HWNT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization recognized as the premier Hispanic women's organization in Texas. Chapters exist in Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth, Houston, Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio.
Visit the state website for more information.

Austin Chapter - The Austin Chapter of HWNT is active in the community in a variety of ways. Regular meetings, cultural events, networking and professional development opportunities are an integral part of the chapter's activities. In addition, the chapter administers a scholarship program for the benefit of high school and college students, as well as, those seeking continuing education or leadership training. Information exchange occurs through newsletters, an e-mail network and our web site.
